Two of Our Favourite Family Resorts in Norway and Sweden Just Got Closer to Home
Two of our favourite family resorts in both Norway and Sweden have just got closer to home!
Scandinavian Airlines has announced a new direct flight route into the brand-new Scandinavian Mountains Airport, operational from December to April, making it easier for skiers to reach Stöten in Sweden and Trysil in Norway.
The new airport is being built in Dalarna, Sweden, close to the Norwegian border, meaning it will shorten transfer times to as little as 15 minutes. The new direct flight will operate Saturday to Saturday from London Heathrow, making the two resorts even more appealing for family skiers wanting an easy, hassle-free family ski holiday. Two things as parents ourselves we know are vital for a successful family ski holiday!
Stöten: Transfer time now only 15 minutes (was 2 hours 45 minutes)

We say “You would be hard-pressed to find a more convenient resort than Stöten. The slopes, ski school, restaurants, bars, pool and supermarket are all within a five minute walk wherever you stay.”
Our customers say “A super place for families with young kids. Slopes very quiet, even though it was Easter Holidays in the UK, so I never needed to be worried our daughter was going to be taken out. Plenty of snow and the resort had everything we could need. Enough runs to keep Beginners / early intermediates busy.” William Watson, 22/4/19.
Trysil: Transfer time now only 45 minutes (was 2 hours 30 minutes)

We say “One of Norway’s best family resorts and its largest ski area, Trysil has wide pistes, easy-going terrain and guaranteed snow cover.”
Our customers say “Our second time in Trysil and we loved it even more – have already booked for our third visit. Wide, empty, groomed pistes. Excellent ski instructors with perfect English and supportive/encouraging/play-based tuition – first skiing holiday where our kids have been truly happy in ski school. Compact resort but enough terrain to keep you occupied for a week.” Angela Lloyd-Jones, 18/5/19.
