Three words sum up our latest snow report: powder, powder and powder! Conditions across all of our destinations look incredible as we reach the mid-way point of the season, with more snow in the forecast.
There's nothing quite like fresh snow - whether you're into deep powder or perfectly groomed corduroy slopes (or both!). So we have some good news if you're heading to the slopes in the next few weeks, you're in for a treat.
Multiple resorts across Japan, Canada and the USA are reporting over half a metre of new snow this week (in some places, over half a metre overnight), and our team have been personally enjoying powder conditions in Norway this week where up to 25cm has fallen in the past few days.
That won't be the only first-hand report below as Sales Manager Andy Knights was also lucky enough to catch the start of the latest storm cycle in Jackson Hole before he flew home at the weekend.
If you're yet to book, it's not too late! While many of our resorts now have limited availability for this season, we've focused our report on destinations with a bit more flexibility for this winter.

Japan
It's called Ja-Pow for a reason!
If you're not familiar with Japan's snow pattern, it's the alpine equivalent of 'when it rains, it pours'. It's safe to say that recently, the snow has indeed been pouring down. You may have seen the record-breaking snow Japan is having in the news. What does that mean for the ski resorts? Well, Hakuba's Happo-one ski area has received a massive 80cm in the last 24 hours - Ja-pow at its finest!
Four of the Ski Safari team skied Niseko in December and were treated to brilliant conditions - which are looking even better now after 61cm in the past week, taking its season total to 558cm. A commendable 55cm fell in Furano over the past seven days, while Rusustu now leads the way for the most snowfall this season at 765cm, after 35cm overnight on Mt. Isola.
Resorts across Japan have captured epic powder content after the recent dumping. Enjoy:
Norway
Standard procedure resumes
Despite an unusual blip for a few destinations in January, it was never in doubt that the slopes in snow-sure Norway would return to consistent snowfall.
The stunning resort of Narvik tops the list with 47cm of snow in the last week, while four of our team have been treated to 25cm in Myrkdalen and Voss over the past couple of days. We've been posting the highlights of their trip on our Instagram Stories.
21cm in Hafjell and 13cm in Norefjell have kept the slopes in good condition as resorts across Norway gear up for the busy half term period.

Canada
Whistler leads the way
You may remember that resorts across Canada had an unbelievable amount of snow to start off their season, with powder featuring on opening days left, right and centre. Whistler in particular had one of its best opening days in years (read Beccy's Whistler trip report to find out more about the early-season snow). A couple of months later, Whistler is over the 5 metre mark for the season and received a hefty 62cm in the past week - leading the way in Canada.
Sun Peaks has gone down a treat to new visitors this year, and 39cm was added over the last week. Banff's Big3 ski areas have also received a bunch of fresh snow, particularly in Lake Louise (35cm) and Sunshine Village (28cm).
Here are some of the best snaps from our resorts across Canada:
USA
Beautiful conditions (that we've recently experienced first-hand!)
Sales Manager Andy Knights recently enjoyed awesome conditions in Jackson Hole on the second part of his Big Mountain Ski Safari adventure. He caught the start of a heavy downfall and couldn't resist an hour of fresh powder tracks before his flight back home.
The past seven days in Jackson Hole have seen a huge 71cm, which takes the season total to a whopping 635cm. Andy hasn't stopped talking about his trip, and he'd be more than happy to answer any questions you might have - he's only a phone call away!
It's a bit too late to book for this season in most of our other destinations in the USA, but Aspen Snowmass still has some availability. Conditions are solid, and fresh powder is on the way next week - 50cm is forecast to fall by 12 Feb! Here's some of the powder in Jackson Hole recently:
