Twin-Centre Ski Holidays in British Columbia

With so much to offer, the best way to discover British Columbia is a twin-centre ski holiday. Split your time between two resorts, add a city stay in Vancouver or even hop over to Vancouver Island for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Whether you’re looking for gentle skiing and sightseeing or want to get your powder fix in some of North America’s steepest and deepest resorts, there are few more flexible destinations. Here are nine of the best combinations...

Whistler & Sun Peaks

Enjoy endless fun at British Columbia’s two largest ski resorts. Big terrain, huge snowfall and excellent resort facilities await.

Whistler and Sun Peaks combined offer over 12,000 acres of skiable terrain, so even with 10 days, you'll have barely scratched the surface. With huge acreage comes huge variety too, with all abilities and preferences catered for from gentle cruisers to steep chutes with everything in between.

You'll also be spoiled for choice when it comes to eating and drinking out, from cheap eats to high-end dining there are over 120 bars and restaurants in the two resorts.

The off-the-beaten-track powder duo of RED and Whitewater is unbeatable for advanced skiers and snowboarders seeking huge terrain and deep snow on no-frills, locals’ mountains.

You may not have heard of either resort before, but if you're looking for a challenge then look no further for a genuinely hair-raising experience. Stay in the nearby towns of Rossland and Nelson for an authentic experience.

Big White & SilverStar

The perfect intermediate twin-centre in the heart of British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley. Big White and SilverStar both offer world-class tuition, ski-in ski-out accommodation and a whole host of winter activities.

Both resorts are ideal for intermediates looking to gain confidence in powder without having to fight for space. Almost no lift queues means more time to lap the excellent rolling cruisers and mellow tree runs.

This twin-centre is also perfect for families with fantastic facilities for kids in both resorts.

Panorama & Kicking Horse

Tackle two of British Columbia’s biggest vertical drops without having to go out of bounds in Panorama and Kicking Horse.

With heli-skiing also available from either resort base, intermediate to advanced skiers looking for big terrain will be in their element.

Warm up on Panorama's blissfully quiet slopes (but don't underestimate the new 'Monster' terrain) before you head to Kicking Horse where almost half the runs are double-black diamond.

Fernie & Kimberley

Take your skiing or snowboarding to the next level in Fernie and Kimberley. The two resorts are perfect for progression for any ability, from tree-lined beginner slopes to steep bowls - plus they share a lift pass to keep costs down.

This is a hassle-free ski holiday with ski-in ski-out accommodation and almost no queues on the mountain - these are friendly, locals' resorts with a laid-back atmosphere.

Kicking Horse & Revelstoke

With perfect powder, heaps of vertical and lots of black diamond runs, this is big mountain skiing at its best. Advanced skiers and snowboarders will be in their element in Kicking Horse and Revelstoke.

Both resorts are built on former heli-skiing terrain, and to get the most out of them we recommend hiring a guide. If the 6,000 acres of steep and deep in-bound terrain isn't enough for you, you can add a day of heli or cat-skiing to really get to the good stuff.

Sun Peaks & Vancouver

For an unforgettable but affordable Easter family ski holiday, spend a week on Sun Peaks’ immaculately groomed pistes before a short flight to explore Vancouver in glorious spring sunshine.

This trip is particularly good value as it falls across the end of Sun Peaks' season when the snow base is deep, the sun is out, and the slopes are empty as the locals start looking towards summer. You'll visit Vancouver in the heart of cherry blossom season - you'll find them in many of the city's parks and gardens - while warmer temperatures and sunnier skies than mid-winter are much better for sightseeing.

Whistler & Vancouver

The classic British Columbia ski & city stay, spending a few nights in Vancouver after a week in Whistler couldn’t be easier - and is something we recommend to all our customers.

With so much to see and do in Vancouver even three nights won't be enough to pack everything in, but you'll be able to fit highlights such as cycling around Stanley Park, flying overhead in a seaplane and visiting the markets of Granville Island.

Ski & Vancouver Island

Can’t decide between a ski holiday and an adventure holiday? Why not both! Spend a week in one of British Columbia’s incredible ski resorts such as Whistler or Sun Peaks before heading to Vancouver Island where endless beaches, old-growth rainforests and abundant wildlife await.

This is a twin-centre you'll never, but for even more adventure you can easily add a couple of nights in Vancouver before you fly home.
