Kicking Horse Mountain Resort has a culinary experience for every palate. From fine dining to a quick snack to seven course meals. Choose from eight distinct restaurants, cafes, pubs and even a mid-mountain Yurt. We also proudly offer some of the finest wines and scotches, local brews and imported beers found in the Rockies.

Kicking Horse Mountain Resort offers a variety of shopping and services in the heart of the Village Plaza. Whether you are looking for groceries to fill the condo, resort logo apparel to show your friends back home, gifts for loved ones, or upgraded equipment our mountain shops have your needs covered.

The Performance Rental Centre offers a great selection of Premium Rentals from brands including Rossignol, Nordica, Volkl, Burton and are a great choice for skiers and snowboarders of all experience levels and abilities.

Don’t let poorly tuned equipment hold you back from skiing or snowboarding to your potential. The repair shop in our performance rental centre hosts the most technologically advanced shop in the region with highly experienced technicians.

There are shuttles running from Calgary Airport and Banff/Lake Louise to Kicking Horse - please ask for details. There is also a shuttle between hotels in Golden and the ski hill.

Tubing - Located in the heart of the Kicking Horse Plaza, with access by the Jelly Bean surface lift. Children under 1.1 m in height are only permitted in the Tube Zone when riding with an adult.

Snowshoeing - Explore the forested 2km and 4km loop trails just off the Palliser Trail road. A fun way for the whole family to experience the winter wilderness.

Ice Skating - The Village Rink ice surface is located at the Learning Center. This natural ice surface is perfect for the family who wants to "chill out" after some time on the slopes.

Eagle Eye Restaurant - Take a gondola to the top of the mountain and discover Canada's most talked-about culinary experience and the crown jewel of resort dining. No visit to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is complete without this quintessential mountaintop dining experience.

Free Mountain Orientation Tours - Be introduced to the big mountain terrain at Kicking Horse by an experienced guide who knows every square inch of every run. Guided tours meet twice daily at 10 am and 12.30 pm and last approx 1.5 hrs. Sign in at the Guest Services in the Day Lodge.

Telemark - Want to ski like the first skiers? Join a short clinic or a full day of telemark skiing.

Cross country skiing - The world-class Dawn Mountain Nordic Centre just north of the resort provides 30 km of groomed trails for both classic and skate skiing as well as a cosy 10-15 person warming hut complete with wood-burning stove.

Purcell Heli-Skiing - For over 35 years, Purcell Heli-Skiing has been taking skiers and snowboarders to the pristine summits and snowfields of the Purcell Mountains.

Great Canadian Heli-Skiing - Golden is lucky to have amazing resort skiing at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort as well as boasting 2 world-class heli-skiing operations. If you can handle most of the terrain at Kicking Horse (i.e. you are a strong intermediate skier/boarder or better) and are after a multi-day experience while staying in a remote lodge, Great Canadian Heli-Skiing is for you.

Snowmobile - guided snowmobile tours for groups of all sizes.

Dogtooth Climbing Gym - if you still have energy to burn after a day on the slopes then try the physically and psychologically demanding climbing Gy on the edge of Downtown Golden. Improve balance, coordination and self-confidence.

Northern Lights Wildlife Wolf Centre - Learn about wolves and their role in a healthy ecosystem at the Northern Lights Wildlife Wolf Centre. Located just west of Golden, the Northern Lights Wildlife Wolf Centre is a 20-minute drive from Kicking Horse Mountain Resort.

Hot Springs - An hour south of Golden on Highway 95, visit Radium Hot Springs. Surrounded by the jagged cliffs of Sinclair Canyon, look up and see if you can spot a mountain goat or big-horned sheep as you soak in the natural soothing mineral pools.

The Learning Center - Kicking Horse has a Learning Centre located in the heart of the resort, accessible for all and ready for everyone! This area is dedicated to beginner and novice skiers and provides a world-class experience for first-timers.

Big Mountain Center - If you are there for a day or a week the BMC will show you how to maximize the snow and terrain that Kicking Horse has to offer, and experience Kicking Horse from a locals' perspective.

Kicking Horse kids Zone & Childcare - Kicking Horse Kids Zone offers a new world of learning and adventure, all wrapped up into one. Leave the little kids with the big kids and give them an experience that is unforgettable!
