Deer Valley Resort Guide
Insider tips from our team
The Skiing
Deer Valley offers superb skiing for all levels. With six mountains to pick and choose from, the ideal run may take you a while to find but is sure to impress!
Bald Eagle Mountain with an elevation of 8471 ft and Little Baldy Peak at 7950 ft offer ideal terrain for beginners to experts. First-timers will appreciate the separate, beginner area known as Wide West, accessed by two chair lifts, Burns and Snowflake. Numerous intermediate runs allow skiers to slowly advance from the gentler Last Chance to the steeper Solid Muldoon and Big Stick. Advanced and expert skiers can challenge themselves on the 2002 Olympic Winter Games runs, Champion (site of freestyle moguls), Know You Don’t (site of alpine slalom), and White Owl (site of freestyle aerials).
The other four peaks feature mostly intermediate to expert terrain, including extensive gladed areas on Flagstaff, Chutes on Empire, and 65 acres of expert gladed terrain to the north of the top terminal on Lady Morgan for skiers in search of Utah's famous powder.
Complimentary Mountain Host tours are available for intermediate and expert skiers in the mornings and afternoons. Discover the best places to ski on the mountain and learn about the history of the area.
